Bengaluru's washes, without the bucket.

A traditional bucket wash uses anywhere from 30 to 160 litres of potable water per vehicle. CarGlow's zero-water methodology avoids nearly all of it — waterless cleaning agents, microfibre technique, and a certification standard every cleaner is trained to.

Why it matters here

Bengaluru's groundwater table and Cauvery supply are both under real stress, and vehicle washing is one of the more avoidable draws on potable water in a dense city. Converting the informal wash economy — much of which already happens inside apartment basements and driveways — to a zero-water standard is one of the most immediately actionable levers available at city scale, without asking anyone to give up the service.

CO₂e avoided is computed at 1.1 grams per litre saved, applied uniformly across the ledger.

How we keep it honest

No evidence, no wash

Every job requires geo-tagged before/after photos. A wash that isn't proven doesn't get logged, invoiced, or paid.

The ledger is append-only

Corrections to a wrongly-logged wash are compensating entries, never deletions — the history stays intact and auditable.

Not yet a government-certified figure

Every number on this site carries its method version and is explicitly marked pending independent certification — we'd rather under-claim than overstate.
